Growing a Greener Future
In honour of World Sustainability Day on Wednesday, 29 October, our Corporate Support Team proudly partnered with Tanoa Hotels to support the expansion of its thriving sustainable food initiative.
The team rolled up their sleeves and got their hands dirty in the hotel’s newly established garden, now home to over 450 pawpaw plants, 10 passionfruit vines, 20 lemongrass bushes, bongo chillies and pumpkins. This hands-on effort is more than just planting, it’s about cultivating a future where sustainability is deeply rooted in everything we do.
This initiative builds on the success of our Garden-to-Table programme, championed across five Tanoa properties. Some of our hotels now operate large-scale gardens that supply a significant portion of fresh produce directly to their kitchens. Others, launched just last year, are steadily growing and consistently delivering fresh, homegrown ingredients for our guests to enjoy.
Looking ahead, we’re excited to expand the garden even further with a wider variety of vegetables. It’s all part of our commitment to local food production, reducing food miles and offering a healthier, more sustainable dining experience.
