Religion is one of the most important aspects of Samoan culture, to the extent that it is incorporated in Samoa’s motto: “Samoa is founded on God”. Religion in Samoa encompasses a range of groups, but nearly 100% of the population of Samoa is Christian.
Food & Entertainment
Live music and traditional dancing can be experienced almost everywhere in Samoa. You can also attend a Samoan party and feast on delicious suckling pig, chicken and fish served on banana leaf plates, or visit the various villages and share a ceremonial drink of kava, and a Fiafia (traditional barbecue).
Activites
There are number of recreational options including snorkelling, swimming, sailing, waterskiing, scuba diving, golf, tennis, rugby, cricket, nature walks, and visiting historical archaelogical sites.

Tala (WST). One tala equals to 100 sene. Coins are 1,2,5,10, 20 and 50 sene and 1 tala. Notes are 2,5,10,20,50 and 100 talas.
Medical Services
Health care facilities in Samoa are adequate for routine medical treatment but are limited in range and availability. Complex illnesses and life-threatening emergencies generally need to be treated elsewhere. Dental facilities do not meet U.S. standards, but good dental treatment and some emergency medical care can be obtained nearby at the LBJ Tropical Medical Center in Pago Pago, American Samoa. The national hospital and a small private hospital are located in Apia, and there are several small district hospitals on Savai'i and in outlying areas of Upolu. Serious cases of decompression sickness are evacuated to the nearest treatment center in Suva, Fiji, or Auckland, New Zealand. Travelers are encouraged to have emergency evacuation insurance. Doctors and hospitals often expect immediate cash payment for health services.
Sports
The main sports played in Samoa are rugby union and Samoan cricket.
